2023 program notes (PLEASE READ):
We are always seeking coaches at all levels.

IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT UPDATE FROM USA LACROSSE:  Effective January 1, 2022, shoulder pads for boys’ field players must be designed for lacrosse and meet NOCSAE standard ND200. For more information go here:

-  Please start talking up sponsorship.  We are seeking more sponsors this year to help keep the program costs down.
-  Customized sticks are available in the store at www.browardlaxadvantage.com.  We recommend Dicks Sporting Goods for all of your other equipment purchases. 
-  US Lacrosse membership fees ($30 and required to participate) are not included in the participation fees.  Registrants will be prompted to confirm status with US Lacrosse in the registration process and have an opportunity to purchase or renew their membership.

SOUTH FLORIDA YOUTH LACROSSE LEAGUE PROGRAM TRANSFER RULES

***Program Participation and Release Rules (New & Changing Programs)***

There is no requirement for new players to participate in any specific program regardless of location.  New players may choose any program/location that suits them.   However, the league has determined that it is in the best interest of the league and their programs that players that start with a program (HOME PROGRAM) remain with that program for their youth experience.  Players moving to other programs because of travel coaches, or other reasons will lead to recruiting in the recreation league which is specifically forbidden.   Should the player's family move to a new town that warrants the change of program, the player is required to request and receive a release from the original (HOME) program.   All SFYLL programs are required to confirm release from the HOME program prior to registering a player from another SFYLL program.    Should a new program form in your home town that was not in existence previously, residents of the new town program will have the option to stay with their current program or move to the new program in their town of residence without the required release.   Once players move they will NOT be allowed to return to their previous program without a release from their new home program.

DAVIE BRONOCS GAME PLAY TIME POLICY

Team Size

We expect to carry around 18-22 players on each team (12-15 on 6U and 8U boys and girls).  Once a division is full registrants will be wait listed for spots that open up.  Wait listers who do not get a spot will be refunded in full (except US LACROSSE fee).  Registration will end after the first three weeks of the season in case some players drop out. 

**WAIT LIST

Players can only be considered for clearance if they register on the wait list.  That way we know you are serious about playing and we will know how to contact you.  We encourage players to register even if the division is in WAIT LIST status.  Players frequently drop out due to school, injuries, parent job relocations, etc.  Spots do open up.  You will be notified at that time if you have been cleared to play.  Players can get cleared onto a team as late as Feb 20.  

US Lacrosse Registration

All players must be or become members of US Lacrosse in order to play.  US Lacrosse membership costs $30 for 1 year and provides excess medical insurance coverage to all our players.   You will also receive a subscription to Lacrosse Magazine.  If you are not currently a member or your membership will expire during the season you will be prompted to enroll you as a member or renew your membership during our registration process.  The cost of membership is IN ADDITION TO our registration fees below. 

Withdrawal from program
If a player must drop out for any reason the following refund schedule will apply due to uniform orders and giveaways.
Start of 1st week = 60%, within 2 weeks of start = 40%, 3 weeks of start or more = No refunds
US LACROSSE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE THROUGH OUR PROGRAM.

REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
Your registration fee includes: Top quality wicking reversible jersey and shorts with pockets, 26 practices, 9-10 games, field rental, Broncos helmet decals, Broncos player shirt, year-end program, year-end event, and tons of fun and excitement!

Players Must Be US Lacrosse Members.  Membership is $30/year and can be purchased at time of registration
*Price listed is for Davie residents.  Non-Residents pay an additional $15 Non-resident fee
**Any player that plays for their HS team (freshman, JV or Varsity) is INELIGILBLE for Davie Lacrosse

SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR COACH REGISTRATIONS:

The Town of Davie requires a background check for all our coaches.  Please click the link below to download the Town of Davie Volunteer Application form. Once downloaded, please fill out pages 1, 2 and 9.  Pages 3 and 6 must be signed in the presence of a Notary (there is a Notary at the park).  Page 4 must be signed in front of a witness (anyone over the age of 18).

All Lacrosse coaches over the age of 18 must be fingerprinted.  You will  go to the new trailer south of the hockey rinks between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday to be fingerprinted. Please make an appointment with Jeanette (954) 797-1145 or Tina at (954) 797-1153.    Please make sure you have downloaded and completed the form before you go.
