Registration for the 2012 spring rec is
OPEN
2012 program notes:
- We are seeking coaches at all levels.
- Girls divisions have changed for 2012. Bantam
(K-2nd)-cancelled, Lighting (3rd/4th grades), Junior (5th/6th grades),
Senior (7th/8th grades). Bantam could still combine with
boys. We will attempt to offer all divisions as long
as we have enough players and coaches.
- South Florida
Youth Lacrosse League (www.sfyll.com) has voted to allow
programs to opt to field an advanced play team for Boys and Girls Junior and
Senior divisions in 2012. Davie supports this move. We
expect to field an advanced play team in 2012 for Junior and Senior BOYS

- Please start talking up sponsorship. We are seeking
more sponsors this year to help keep the program costs down.
- Financial Aid opportunities are available through the Town of
Davie, Davie Youth Lacrosse Foundation and Broward Lacrosse
Advantage. Please let us know if you need assistance.
- Broward Lacrosse Advantage will again handle our player equipment
purchases this year.
- We added a 4th Boys Junior team. Still need more coache
Team Size
We expect to carry
around 18-22 players on each team (12-15 on Bantam). Once a division is full
registrants will be wait listed for spots that open up. Wait listers
who do not get a spot will be refunded in full. Registration will
end after the first three weeks of the season in case some players drop
out.
WAIT LIST
Players can only be considered for clearance if they register on
the wait list. That way we know you are serious about
playing and we will know how to contact you. We encourage players to register even if the division is in
WAIT
LIST status. Players may drop out due to school, injuries, parent job
relocations, etc. Spots do open up. You will be notified at that
time if you have been cleared to play. Players can get
cleared onto a team as late as Feb 20.
US Lacrosse Registration
All players must be or become members of
US Lacrosse in
order to play.
US Lacrosse provides medical insurance coverage to all our players.
We will register your child on your behalf through our registration
process. If you are not currently a member or your membership will
expire during the season we will enroll you as a member or renew your
membership when you complete the registration. The cost of
membership is included in our registration fees below. There will
be no reduction in registration fee if you are already a US Lacrosse
member and will be current through the season.
Withdrawal from program
If a player must drop out for any reason the
following refund schedule will apply due to uniform orders
and promotional giveaways:
After start of season - 1 week = 60%, 2 weeks =
40%, 3 weeks or more = No refunds
